Born on 5 February 1997, which was 27 Ramadan 1417 AH, at CMH Hospital, Multan. Raised in Karachi from a very young age in a family that did business for a living. At fifteen, helping at my father's shoe shop taught me the basics. How to buy, how to sell, how to handle customers, and how to count the cash at the end of the day.
During my matriculation holidays I discovered gaming servers. The curiosity turned into a self-taught journey through online forums and late-night experiments. In 2014, at seventeen, I started OBHost as a side project. By 2016 it was registered in Pakistan as a sole proprietorship. In 2019, I took it international and incorporated OBHost LLC in Delaware, USA. Today it serves clients around the world.
Along the way I did a short stint as a sysadmin and then as an IT administrator. Both jobs taught me hands-on what no book could. That early VoIP exposure is what later became The Voice Solutions.
My main focus right now is the Gulf. While almost every company in the group is moving into Saudi Arabia, the strongest push is in media. Two brands are leading that play: TechX Pakistan, which is already covering the global tech scene from Pakistan, and Dhikrayat (ذكريات), a brand built specifically for the GCC market.
Some years moved fast. Some were quiet on the outside but heavy on the inside. Either way, each one added a piece to where I am now.
Started helping at my father's ladies shoe shop in Karachi after school. Learned how stock comes in, how a sale is made, and how to talk to a customer who is unsure. The basics, but they stayed with me forever.
Turned a gaming-server hobby into a real service. Started selling domain names and shared hosting plans. It was part-time work while I was still studying. The journey began on a borrowed laptop in a small room.
Took on short roles as a system administrator and IT administrator. Worked with Linux, Windows, networking, and call-center systems. These were not big jobs, but they gave me real ground experience that no course could teach.
Made it official. Registered OBHost as a sole proprietorship in Pakistan and built a small dedicated team. Two years in, this was the moment OBHost moved from a side project to a real company.
Spent nine months actually working on a call center floor before launching the company. Wanted to know what I was selling before I sold it. Opened a proper office the same year. A big year for routines, salaries, and seriousness.
Took OBHost international and incorporated OBHost LLC in Delaware, USA. Launched TechX Pakistan as a technology media platform. Started Khalid Group with the HostingWalay brand for affordable Pakistani hosting. Set up PrivateSource, an NGO funded directly from business profits.
Opened a small coffee shop called Liquid Lounge in Karachi when the winter shifted and outdoor cafes felt right again. Around the same time, decided to stop chaining the team to a single office and started moving operations to fully remote.
From January, the entire group is run remotely. Launched OFAA Cattle and Farm House on the outskirts of Karachi. Began the formal move into Saudi Arabia as the next operating base.
This year is about media. Launched Dhikrayat (ذكريات), built for the GCC market, working alongside TechX Pakistan. While the cloud and hosting businesses keep moving into Saudi Arabia, the spotlight is on media.
Each award came from a different room and for a different reason. State guest in China. Entrepreneur award at Governor House. Cybersecurity in Lahore. CIO leadership in Karachi. Four different rooms, one simple story.
